500 & Huobi Labs Proudly Presents Our Latest Blockchain Track Companies

The 500 Blockchain team and Huobi Labs have selected three blockchain companies to join our blockchain track program.

“We have received hundreds of super qualified applications since announcing the 500 Blockchain Track program last month. It’s amazing to see so many talented entrepreneurs out there building blockchain related companies and I’m really excited about the future of the blockchain ecosystem,” said Edith Yeung, partner at 500 Startups.

Since this is our first pilot of a blockchain track program, we only had the opportunity to work with a small number of companies. Our goal is to collaborate closely with each startup,  focusing on key areas including: community building, go-to-market strategies, corporate partnerships, and connections with all our mentors from the blockchain ecosystem.

 

Meet our 500 Blockchain track companies and teams:

Solana (solana.io) – Founded by Anatoly Yakovenko, Greg Fitzgerald, Eric Williams, Alan Yu and Raj Gokal (former Qualcomm, Google, CERN and Dropbox), Solana is a new high performance blockchain architecture built upon a new Proof of History consensus mechanism which supports over 700K transactions per second on a 1 gigabit network without data partitioning.

Libra Credit (libracredit.io) – Founded by Lu Hua and Dan Schatt (former Paypal Executives), Libra Credit is a decentralized lending ecosystem that facilitates open access to credit anywhere and anytime based on the Ethereum blockchain. Libra Credit lends fiat currency and stablecoin at low rates with cryptocurrencies and cryptoassets as collateral.

Metadium (metadium.com) – Started by Ryan Uhr, Jeffrey Song and Richard Yun (ex-Cisco, ex-Samsung and Coinplug team), Metadium is a decentralized authentication and identity platform which solves the issue of on-line trust identity and formulates firm connections between identities with customers including Hyundai Card & KB Card for personal identities, Korean National Information Society Agency & SK Telecom for IoT and Hyosung Galaxia Communications for contents copyright management, etc.
